The history of Euskaren
In 2003, while traveling with his parents, Jean-Marc, founder of Euskaren, came across the Karen people and their country. This chance encounter changed his worldview forever. As he learned more about Karen culture, he began to notice the similarities between it and his own Basque roots. In both cases, it was about ancient languages and traditions, hard-working men and women, and a unique art of weaving. It is through organizations like Enfants du Mékong that Jean-Marc and Euskaren have been able to support and help the Karen people thrive. As the founder of Euskaren, he prides himself on promoting ethical and sustainable practices in everything he does.
